Civics Form Two, is based on the 2005 Civics syllabus for Tanzanian Secondary Schools. The book covers all Civics topics described in the syllabus. The topics covered are: promotion of life skills, the government of Tanzania, democracy and gender. However, a number of factors have been taken into consideration in writing this book. These include: political, economic and socio-cultural practices existing in the contemporary societies of Tanzania. The pedagogical approach used in writing this book, aims at providing students with knowledge, skills and experiences, which can be used to enhance their socio-economic, political and cultural understanding. This book is rich in exercises which are given for each topic. It is expected that students and teachers will find this book resourceful for a better understanding of Civics.
