This book is useful to meet the goals of 2023 secondary education revised syllabus in Tanzania. In this regard students will gain the ability to effectively communicate financial information and contribute to the success of any entity. These will equip students with competences to record business transactions and prepare basic financial statements. The book is divided into five chapters. Chapter one deals with Basic Principles of Book keeping, Chapter two focuses on the Theory of Double Entry System. Chapter three deals with Books of Prime Entry, Chapter four deals with Trial Balance and Chapter five deals with Basic Financial Statements.
